MENIFEE, CA- Rounds 11 and 12 in the MOD Series ended up being the Dan and Rick show. Samson and the Fabtech Obsession were in the finals in all four rounds. In round 11, both straight line and obstacle Samson and the Fabtech Obsession worked both sides of the bracket to meet in the finals. Both rounds Samson was able to edge out the Fabtech Obsession.

In round 12 Rick had a bad qualifying run and ended with Samson in the first round. Going up against the fastest truck all weekend, Rick knew timing was everything. Even with the loss in the first round against Samson the Fabtech Obsession came back as the fast looser. From this point Rick worked his way back into the finals to face Samson once again. Unfortunately it was a repeat of round 11 with the Fabtech Obsession only being a half of a second behind.

Rick stated "taking second place against Dan Patrick on both the straight line and the huge oval course, only having our small spare 468 cu. motor was quite an accomplishment for the Fabtech Obsession team". The Fabtech Obsessing will continue using the small 468 cu. Motor until mid September. The 575 cu. Motor is currently with our engine builder getting rebuilt to finish out the MOD series.
