MENIFEE, CA- Obsession Racing has accomplished their Championship goal! Rick Swanson took the Fabtech Obsession all the way to the top being crowned Monsters of Destruction (MOD) 2006 Champion in both straight line and obstacle course racing. Rick Swanson states that "We are pleased to give our sponsors this recognition. For all of us at Obsession Racing this series meant a lot to us on a personal level. When my Father passed away on Fathers Day this year, I wanted to win this series to honor him by dedicating the Championship to him. It was an awesome feeling of accomplishment and dedication to be able to make this happen".

The last seven rounds of the MOD season were located in Boise, ID for two rounds. Del Rio Texas had three rounds of racing and ending the last two rounds in Roswell, NM. In Boise we had three semi final rounds and one final round win. Leaving Boise we had a 1,700 mile drive to Texas. In three rounds of racing we had two semi finals and four finals and one win. In New Mexico we ended up in the finals and a championship win!
